Please note that additional fees can apply for those individuals exceeding 300 pounds, or for anyone whose cremated remains exceed a standard cremation container. Direct Cremation, Maryland
Direct Cremation with minimum fiberboard corrugated container
The $1365 starting price includes basic services, local transfer of remains, transfer of remains to crematory, necessary authorizations, and crematory fee. This charge does not include the use of facilities and staff for visitation, viewing or ceremony, public or private prior to the cremation. All remains are returned within 7 business days. If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an alternative container.
Cremation Pricing Details for Service Customization
Basic Services of Funeral Director and Staff - $570
This fee for the basic services of the funeral director and staff includes conducting the arrangement conference, planning the funeral, obtaining the necessary permits, placing the obituary notice, death notice, and online obituaries. This fee for our basic services will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. (This fee is already included in our charges for direct cremations, immediate burials, and forwarding or receiving remains.)
Preparation & Care of Remains
If you have chosen cremation as the means of saying goodbye to your deceased loved one, understand that there is a variety of steps required to properly take care and prepare the remains before and after the cremation takes place.
Dressing and placing remains in alternative container - $175

An often over-looked aspect of the funeral planning process is organizing transportation for the various stages of death care. Our services provide transfer from the place of death, a service vehicle or utility van and a casket coach (hearse) that is available should you so choose.

Transfer of remains from Washington DC - $475
Additional fee per mile, one way - $3.50 / mile

Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without and outside covering). These containers we provide are unfinished wood boxes and fiberboard boxes.

We offer printed materials in a variety of appropriate designs that include 100 memorial folders, a personalized guest register and 50 thank you cards.

Witnessing cremation process in our cremation chapel - $465
Witnessing cremation is the ultimate way to say goodbye and we have a space where the family can be present as the cremation process occurs. Cremation usually takes more than two hours and also requires several more hours before the remains are available.
Mailing of Cremated Remains via USPS to 48 Contiguous States - $175
Out of town? No problem. We can take care of the details of the cremation and mail the cremated remains directly to you.
Crematory Fee - $250
This is the standard fee that covers the cost of running the crematory and is applied to all cremations.
Hand delivery of cremated remains to family home/cemetery - $175
We'll be happy to deliver within 30 miles of our location in Hagerstown. Farther away? It's just $3.50 per mile more, one way.
